Axumin®
Who is a Candidate for an Axumin® PET/CT Scan?
Men with suspected prostate cancer recurrence based on elevated prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels following prostatectomy or radiation therapy.
What is an Axumin® study?
- Axumin® is an FDA approved imaging agent, also known as a "tracer", which helps a physician determine if and where your prostate cancer has recurred.
- Axumin® includes a radioactive element (F 18) used to produce images.
- The study is performed on a PET/CT scanner at a RadNet outpatient imaging facility.
- The total exam is approximately 30-40 minutes.
